All vehicle rentals are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement, which you will receive upon booking confirmation or at the time of vehicle collection. This document outlines key terms, conditions, insurance information, applicable charges, and your responsibilities related to the rental. In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.
Eligibility Criteria
Renting a vehicle requires:

Additional insurance options may be available to help lower your financial liability. It is advisable to review these options thoroughly. You will be liable for any damage or loss up to the excess amount, unless additional insurance covers it. Any damage resulting from negligence or improper use remains your responsibility, regardless of insurance coverage.
6. Modifications and Cancellations
Cancellation and amendment policies differ depending on the type of booking and the notice given. For precise information, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or no-shows could incur additional fees.
7. Restricted Uses
Prohibited Uses of Rental Vehicle
- Use of vehicles for illegal purposes or activities is prohibited. This includes racing, off-roading, or any hazardous driving behaviors. Transporting dangerous materials or sub-letting to unauthorized individuals is not allowed. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. Vehicles must not be used for purposes beyond their design, and passenger or weight limits must be respected. Driving outside the agreed geographical boundaries requires prior authorization.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.
Limitation of Responsibility
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire in Maldon is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will not exceed the amount paid for your rental in the past year. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or fraud.
